Preston Page specializes in fashion, beauty, and fine art photography. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, the Preston Page Photogaphy Studio is temporarily closed due to Covid-19 as of May 2020, but we are still booking sessions on client on-locations with a portable studio.
His photography career started in 1969, working at Wilson Todd Studios. In 1972, through a college anthropology project, Preston became a cinematographer, which resulted in freelance assignments for National Geographic Films, shooting documentary and library footage.
In 1976, Preston became an editor for The Sporting News and The Sporting Goods Dealer, which led to shooting sportwear fashion assingments. In 1977, he was the staff fashion photographer for Stix, Baer & Fuller, teamed with legendary art director Rany Miller. Over the next few years, Rany and Preston produced a number of award winning newspaper, magazine and TV ads.
Preston Page Photography opened its doors in 1980, catering to national department stores, manufacturers like Brown Shoe, Miss Elaine, Vanity Fair and Lady Stetson and othe fine fashion, jewelry and beauty clients.
Preston closed his studio in 1995 to follow interests in the then new World Wide Web, working in the IT department at Anheuser-Busch, where he helped pioneer the business and marketing use of the opportunities offered by the Internet. In 2009, Preston Page Photography opened its doors again, with a focus on working with local St. Louis models, stylists and designers. Unfortunately, COVID-19 put a halt on the St. Louis fashion scene, leading to the studio closure again in May 2020, with hopes that everyone can recover from the Pandemic by 2023.
